On September 12, 2011 The Rotary Club of Dartmouth donated $10,000 to the Dartmouth General Hospital to furnish a special long-term waiting room.
Patients at the Dartmouth General Hospital (DGH) requiring numerous tests frequently have to wait in the corridors as long as 8 – 10 hours. With this donation they can now wait in comfort in a special room which is fully furnished.
A plaque will be erected in the room dedicating it to the late Wilf Warner and Lew Billard who were members of the Rotary Club of Dartmouth and patients at the DGH before their passing.
